ello, my name is Irene Fraser, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I live on a station 80km from town. I don't travel to town too often, I try only to go every fortnight but sometimes it doesn't work out. When I do go I have to do the shopping and make it last till the next time I go. I have three children, and we used to have a cow that I milked every day, but sadly she died of a snake bite last summer. We have chickens and ducks and also a dog, her name is Cheeky and that is what she is. The chickens give us all the eggs we need and we have one sitting on eggs, so soon there should be some baby chickens. I try to grow most of our vegetables in our garden: tomatoes, capsicums, carrots, celery, lettuce, spinach, beetroot, radishes and anything else that I can find that will grow. There is 21,000 acres on this station with sheep, rice and wheat bringing in the income. We will stay here till our contract runs out. I love it in the country, to live in the city is not for me.
